Sales Administration Assistant

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Sales Administration Assistant to support our Managing Director and help drive our sales and growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Appointment Setting & Sales Coordination
• Schedule and manage meetings with existing customers and new prospects including planning and organising local and interstate sales trips for the MD to have face-to-face meetings with key accounts and opportunities.
Quotes, Proposals & CRM Management
• Discuss requirements with customers and prospects and prepare proposals that will showcase Star Outdoor’s expertise that will enable us to win business.
• Use our CRM system to track opportunities and conversations with our customers and prospects. You will be responsible for keeping the progress and conversations up to date.
• Previous experience with any CRM system is required to effectively manage customer relationships and sales opportunities.
Customer Communication & Aftercare
• To be proactive and use your initiative to reach out to new opportunities and existing customers to see how we can help build their brands
• Contact customers after despatch to collect feedback, testimonials and product photos for future marketing campaigns.
Sales Administration & Internal Support
• Organise attendance to expos and trade shows and attend when required to assist the MD with networking and new business development.
• Manage the Managing Director’s calendar and inbox, keeping him on task and organised
Market Research & Networking
• The hospitality, food and beverage and events industries abound with opportunities for Star Outdoor we just need to find them! A key part of the role is to research these industries, find the opportunities and contacts and then plan how best to engage with them.
• Being a supplier to the Brisbane Olympic games is a major focus for Star Outdoor as many of our products are used in these sporting events. To succeed we will need to be well established with strong networks with sporting bodies and event managers that will be involved with the Olympics, you will have a key role in building these networks.
• Responsible for keeping informed and connecting with customers and prospects through LinkedIn, Instagram & Facebook

Requirements

Candidates must hold Australian permanent residency to be eligible for this position.

This role is perfect for someone who loves structure, communication, customer interaction and keeping a fast‑moving sales environment running smoothly.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales administration or customer service is essential for this role.

Experience in the events and hospitality industry is preferred but not essential for this position.
